How to access project info in tools

Does gptel allow accessing the project-root of the project that the gptel request was started from? For example, I would like to have a tool that allows access to files only within the current project.

Every tool is called from the buffer where the request was started from, so the :confirm slot of your tool can check the path of the file relative to (project-root (project-current)) to allow access.
