Live waveform not displayed when recording (macOS 26.1 Tahoe, Chrome)

Bug description

When I start recording on my Mac the live waveform does not show or update. I tried the official record demo (https://wavesurfer.xyz/examples/?record.js) and it also does not record voice or display waves.

Environment

• OS: macOS 26.1 (Tahoe)
• Browser: Google Chrome (latest stable)

• "wavesurfer.js": "^7.12.0"
  

• Tested demo: https://wavesurfer.xyz/examples/?record.js
• Microphone: Built-in/internal microphone (observed on this machine)

Expected result

It should show live waves while recording

I have another macbook air with M1 it works in that but not in Macbook air M4
