WaveSurfer stopped working for long videos?

I think that occured after a Chrome update.
The wave is not loading for long videos but still does for short ones.

What could be the issue?

All I get from error debugging in the dev tools is

TypeError: Failed to fetch

Probably not an wavesurfer issue.

But how do you guys deal with this issue?

You could add additional logging via

wavesurfer.on('error', (e) => console.log(e))

@katspaugh Yes this is what I did but all I get is

TypeError: Failed to fetch

I'm not sure what is going on. It was working fine before and I have not updated the code so my guess is the issue occured from a Chrome update, but it also fails on an old version of Brave browser so not sure what to make up from that.
Also it works in Firefox right now.

The server is using cors and range middleware, tried using https (same origin), tried so many different tweaks from this morning, but still can't find the cause.

I added network throttling to debug, it seems like wavesurfer is not waiting the full request to finish.

This is discouraging, it works in Incognito mode... I've disabled all my extensions cleared all cache, all site data, all service workers, nothing works.

I'll wait next chrome update, unlikely a wavesurfer issue.
