USB OTG is not working

I haven't been able to get any form of USB OTG functionality working on this device. I've tried several USB-C to A adaptors, Flash drives, USB hubs and yet I can't get anything to show up with lsusb.

is this a known issue? if so, are there any workarounds?

Hi! Currently there are no drivers capable of talking to the charger chip to negotiate usb vbus direction, so the device is forced to peripheral mode.

I'm hoping to have the time to look at it soon but there's a lot of other stuff to do too... Yeah it's a known issue.
