[FEATURE] Kebo for Business - Financial control for Pymes

Context

Current Kebo works well for personal finances, but SMEs need specific capabilities that aren't covered. This proposal outlines 3 core adjustments to enable business use.

3 Proposed Core Features

1. Adjust expense/income system for businesses

Current state: Kebo has transaction recording and budgets for individuals.

Necessary changes:

  • Adapt categories for business context (Payroll, Vendors, Services, etc.)
  • Add business fields: Vendor/Client, Tax ID (NIT), document type
  • Support tax concepts: VAT, withholdings (Reteiva, Retefuente)
  • Business dashboard: cash flow, accounts payable, expenses by category

Optional - DIAN invoice parser:

  • Read XML files from electronic invoices
  • Automatically extract: vendor, amounts, VAT, withholdings
  • Create pre-filled transaction ready to approve

2. Bank statement import

Problem: Manual reconciliation consumes hours weekly.

Solution:

  • Import statements from main Colombian banks:
    • Bancolombia (CSV, Excel)
    • Davivienda (CSV, Excel)
  • Parser that automatically identifies transaction type
  • Automatic categorization based on description
  • Reconcile bank payments with registered invoices

3. Multi-user with roles

Problem: Owner needs to delegate accounting tasks without losing control.

Solution:

  • 3 basic roles:
    • Admin: full access
    • Accountant: invoices and tax reports
    • Operator: only loads transactions
  • Audit log: who did what and when
  • Comments on transactions
