Brief Summary

If I understand correctly, the WebAuthn PRF extension allows a passkey to be used for encryption, too, rather than being limited to authentication.

By searching, I've only found discussions about implementing this for the KeePaasXC database itself. Here, I'm talking about the passkeys saved in KeePassXC.

Example

For example, it would allow a passkey stored in KeePassXC to decrypt a Bitwarden vault. Currently, you can authenticate with the passkey, but you still need to enter Bitwarden’s master password to unlock the vault.
