automatic announcement of battery status #26

I apologize if the add-on is in maintenance mode, I thought it might be but am not sure. In case it is not, I thought I would ask about a feature which would be most helpful to those of us with portable machines. It would be great to have it if it could be put in without too much work. I would like a sound to play and an announcement to be made as the battery goes down. That is, if the battery is at 59%, then goes down to 50, I would like the going past 50% to be announced. I'm thinking a configurable 5% interval for announcements, or possibly 10, and would also like to hear a sound. Is this something that would work and, as an aside, is there a program that would do this in audio without producing a dialog? I just want a sound/announcement, not to have work interrupted. Thanks to the authors for having a look.
