Hide filters only work on the parent folder

What happened?

I tried to use this plugin to make the file explorer show only the notes and none of the media, which partially worked for files that are under the parent folder. It does not recursively filter, however, the media files inside subdirectories.

What did you expect to happen?

I'd expect all media files matching the wildcard disappear from the file explorer menu, but still seeing them:

Can you reproduce the bug, if so how? As detailed but minimal as possible.

Drop files that match one of these formats in a subdirectory and toggle hide all
