cli blocking: Could not retrieve usage information from backend

After updating to kiro-cli 1.28.2, kiro cli is not working. I am getting the following error:

How to get past this ?

Note: I have logged out/logged in, uninstalled/reinstalled -- did not fix. Also I don't see any profileArn in the log in page. I use github login

I am facing the same issue:

kiro-cli launches Kiro CLI successfully, but every message I sent results in the following error message:
