Bug Description

Many a times - when I give a prompt, Kiro will just respond as "Understood" - nothing more!
This is increasing happening with time - could be due to increasing project complexity. Now it happens roughtly 5% (1 in 20 requests).

Steps to Reproduce

Happens randomly when I give some prompts. There is no specific bahavior.
However since I did not face this issue in the beginning, I believe this behavior is function of project complexity (+ probably prompt complexity).

Sometimes it just gives the same "Understood" response multiple times - if I post the same prompt again (by doing up arrow".
I will then change the prompt to break the "understood" loop. However this to is not guaranteed to break the loop! I keep trying!!

Expected Behavior

Should simply do the task.

Why is this marked as duplicate?
Both report Kiro stopping working or not responding properly, with similar symptoms of the application failing to provide expected responses to user prompts

This seems to be happening to me a lot also. I ask it to do something, either a short or long, and it takes a while to think, sometimes maybe up to a minute, then it simply responds with "Understood." and nothing else, lol. I have to just re-ask the question and then it does the work. I haven't copied the conversation IDs, but it's been happening randomly a lot since the latest update for the last 2-3 days. I've been heavily using Kiro the last two days (1000-ish credits) and I've had this "Understood" happen at least a dozen times.

The latest instance I can share was conversation id: 460cce1f-150f-499e-95cd-4c390802a7f9 in this conversation the understood instance happened four times, including just now.

One thing I noticed it that the kiro is not creating "new sessions" as often, as it was before - possibly after upgrade.
The "agent" might be getting overloaded with longer context.
I noticed that with newer agents (new sessions" - this happens less often.

After a while the sessions are getting crashed as well.
@AndrewFarley one thing you can try is to spin new session.

I'll try to do new sessions and report back, but the downside is that it always looses a little bit of context/knowledge from what we were working on, even if I tell it to document everything real quick and start in a new session, it forgets the way it was doing something and does it slightly differently, which then causes some annoyance and/or manual help to nudge it back along the right way.

I honestly prefer one big long session sometimes that goes for the course of an entire day working on something, and the context doesn't fill up on me, that way within' that context/session it does the same things (eg: uses the same specific commands in the terminal which I've carefully whitelisted).

Another workaround that worked for me many times is while you repeat the previous prompt again after you get "understood" - by clicking up arrow - just add the word "act" - ex, "act now - "
