Switch To Schedule Component As Backend?

I didn't know Schedule Component existed until 10 minutes after I published the first version of Climate Scheduler, as it is far more mature it seems everyone is rightly using it as a basis for other projects.

As I'm about to overhaul the UI I have been wondering if I should change this project to be a custom UI for Schedule Component instead of having my own scheduling mechanism. It'd be a big change and if I'm honest I've no idea if it's even possible, I just thought I'd ask you all what you think?
