How do I get autocomplete?

Hi!
I am not sure if I am missing something fundamental, but how can I get pet to autocomplete the snippets in my shell?

With most snippets, in editors, you type a snippet keyword and press e g ctrl-space or whatever to expand it. Ofc, many IDEs display a dropdown with autocomplete options, blinken lights and cake - and it is more complex.

But I was kindof expecting something similar with pet... I tried the fzf thing, but it is soooo slooooooow. I just wanna type something like ctrl-yadda write myfoosnipp and maybe hit ctrl-yadda again or whatever one times if I have two myfoosnip:s - and then enter to expand and run it.

I am thinking it would be similar to how normal searching of bash command history works, right? Because, again, for searching command history with fzf, that is the first thing one disables after sourcing the fzf config, right? Because it is sooooo sloooooooooooowwwwwwwwww (read with down-pitched slow-motion voice).

So, is there any autocomplete (without resorting to slooooow fzf¹)?

1. Also not certain that fzf per se is slow, I have the feeling that it is usually loading that takes time. Some uses / invocations of fzf are ok, but command history is decidedly not. And pet, well, sad to say, same thing for me, YMMV. ↩

Weird that you say it's slow, it's so fast for me that I never even felt it! What OS do you use?
