This is a sample project, where we want to see which libs are used with fast glance

We don't want to see random names (implementation(libs.kotest.assertions.core)), and then start figuring out where they are defined.

I recommend putting the full lib names into build.gradle.kts.

The project uses Gradle's Version Catalog, it's becoming fairly popular in the Java/Kotlin world. It's also by convention to have libs.versions.tomlstored in gradle.

I guess it's about a trade-off between readability and maintainability. If we were talking about some custom constants for the dependencies like it was popular to do in the past, then I'd agree with you. However, the Version Catalog is becoming the preferred way to manage the dependencies.
