Icon doesn't show in GNOME 42 Wayland

Hi, just here to notice that app doesn't run properly in wayland. Running with GDK_BACKEND=x11 arch-audit-gtk make it works.
Although, I don't know how to use it systematically.

The github page suggests installing gnome-shell-extension-appindicator then reloading the desktop so it gets picked up. After doing that, I found it was working in wayland along with my wallpaper changer icon (Variety) as well. Also interesting is that Gnome Extensions shows gnome-shell-extension-appindicator as a "built in" extension after install and reboot.
