Sorry for the issue, but I don't have time to address this issue anymore (I personally don't use this plugin. I even don't use either gradle or coveralls..)

If your usage is only with open source repo, I'd recommend codecov as alternative to coveralls. Their API directly accepts cobertura or jacoco coverage reports. No need of gradle plugin specific to coverage SaaS.
