Creation of 2 load balancers, and only 1 used.

Description

I was surprised to see 2 load balancers in the Hcloud console, after investigation it seems that 1 is idle, I am using nginx-ingress.

@devamin this is because of your custom nginx values, especially the annotation "load-balancer.hetzner.cloud/name": "k3s", replace the name with k3s-nginx and you should end up with one. Normally it should apply retroactively, please try. If not try on a new cluster.

@mysticaltech I've liked your comment because I experience close to the same issue, however changing the label didn't work. See screenshot, the bottom one is the correct one. The 2 on top gets created sometimes but not always, I can delete them with no downside and 1 to 3 days later they are back again.

Do you have any idea how I could fix this? Or at least point me into the right directory to figure out why or how they are created?

It could be the case when you have services (not the nginx or traefik one) with the type LoadBalancer. They then will create these Hetzner load balancer with these cryptic names through the hetzner CCM (Cloud Controller Manager).

Exactly as @InfernoCraft said, those are created by services you deploy that request LBs. Usually, in my case at least, I change the helm values to use services of type ClusterIP that I can than use with the ingress controller and an ingress definition.
