Auto rotation of mounted contents and synced Kubernetes Secrets - GA release

I would like to understand the current plans and estimated timeline for promoting the Auto rotation of mounted contents and synced Kubernetes Secrets feature from alpha to General Availability.
This feature is critical for use cases that rely on automatic secret rotation without requiring manual pod restarts, and it would be helpful to know if there are any prerequisites or known blockers for its GA release.

Environment:

• Secrets Store CSI Driver version: (use the image tag): v1.5.0
• Kubernetes version: (use kubectl version): v1.31.0

the rotation feature is kept alpha because we want to switch to the CSI driver requires republish approach for rotation (#1622) instead of the implementation we have in the controller today. Once that change is done in the driver, we'll graduate the rotation feature. Note: this is just an implementation change underneath and shouldn't change the UX for rotation in any breaking way.

Having said that, you should be fine with enabling the current rotation feature. It's been in existence for almost 4 years now and is being widely used.

Note though that the Kubernetes secret sync will be deprecated and removed in the future in favor of the secret sync controller.

Thank you for the details and for confirming the use of the current alpha feature for secrets rotation.

I just wanted to check if there is any visibility on when #1622 will be merged, and when the feature is expected to be included in a generally available release.
