forklift UI #3937

Description

@sudharsanomprakash

I am attempting to deploy the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (Forklift) on a vanilla Kubernetes cluster (not OpenShift). I have successfully installed the Forklift Operator and created the ForkliftController CR, but I am having trouble accessing the User Interface.

Environment Details:
Kubernetes Version: v1.33.6+rke2r1
KubeVirt Version: v1.7.0

kubectl get svc -n konveyor-forklift

NAME TYPE CLUSTER-IP EXTERNAL-IP PORT(S) AGE
forklift-api ClusterIP 10.43.118.87 443/TCP 2m18s
forklift-inventory ClusterIP 10.43.113.253 8443/TCP 2m26s
forklift-ova-proxy ClusterIP 10.43.61.171 8443/TCP 2m23s
forklift-services NodePort 10.43.254.95 8443:31242/TCP 2m26s
forklift-validation ClusterIP 10.43.213.195 8181/TCP 2m9s
konveyor-forklift ClusterIP 10.43.204.51 50051/TCP 45m

kubectl get pods -n konveyor-forklift -w

NAME READY STATUS RESTARTS AGE
forklift-api-6dff4d75ff-j4fjs 1/1 Running 0 86s
forklift-controller-5d856d7859-bm5nh 2/2 Running 0 94s
forklift-operator-595d8bf9d-lrwz5 1/1 Running 0 11m
forklift-ova-proxy-65b656cf86-kwrnf 1/1 Running 0 2m1s
forklift-validation-546457c4b7-gw799 1/1 Running 0 105s
forklift-volume-populator-controller-576b4b7cd8-2qvff 1/1 Running 0 2m
konveyor-forklift-d9grp 1/1 Running 0 11m

Questions:
Are there specific environment variables in the ForkliftController CR I need to set to help the UI connect to the backend services in a non-OCP environment?
Are there any known limitations when running the UI on standard K8s?

Thank you for your help!
