I'm voting for this in a big way. I think this would create an ecosystem. I wouldn't have all the plugins that some Element-patch might require, but I could substitute!

Sounds good. Been working hard on the backend code needed for this. So far I have a "Lua" node with code editor. It can define audio & midi input counts, parameters, actually render audio and midi, and finally save/restore state.

This will be the next thing I tackle once: #125 is complete.
