I am running ORM on a Raspberry 4 with a Raspberry Touch Screen. I use an unbranded water rower from China. I had a display but it was not Bluetooth enabled and could not connect and had no heart rate option.
With ORM I can now get a lot of information and forward it to Strava etc. If I set the Bluetooth FTMS to bike it will connect to my VzFit VR app. Although the reported HR on VZFit is actually just counting up. Not reporting heart rate and Power is 1000 ++.
This does not matter to as I use the VZfit app to make the row more enjoyable. The data from ORM including HR is still gathered and can be uploaded to Strava.

For the OS I used DietPi Headless.
I was having some problems with Raspian which I am still investigating.
