help with the Sportstech RSX400

Hello I am trying to make this rowing machine work, it has the magnet under the seat.., I could read the sensor value using a esp32 and a debounce of 50. I installed openrowingmonitor in my rpi, but I couldn't find the correct config values to detect any stroke..

Can I use this rowing like this? or should I add another sensors ?

the magnet(s) should be mounted on the flywheel which seems to be part 38 on your schematics.
