water rowing machine

this project is very interesting!
do you think is there a way to apply also to a water rowing machine ?
I'm interested to use the software to connect my old rowing machine to kinomap.
is there any way ?

Hi Roberto,

In theory it should work with your water rower, as the initial development also was done on a waterrower (a Sportstech WRX700, see https://github.com/laberning/openrowingmonitor/blob/main/docs/hardware_setup_WRX700.md). The level of details you can get from the OpenRowingMonitor (i.e. detailed metrics) depends a bit on the number of magnets that are on your rower. Can you see how many times a magnet triggers the reed-switch per stroke?
