detect "special" mirrors

Lots of vendors run their own mirrors:

• aws ec2 (in each region)
• softlayer

We need an easy way to detect this (by adding more patterns) and without cluttering the code like crazy.

Idea: add a configuration file on top so people can specify more patterns easily.
