More coherent design choices

That's very subjective, so do whatever you will with this remark, but I am not super fan of the pink-violet-gradient gradients. I feel it's trying too hard to be trendy and might get old fast. On a slightly less objective point of view (but still...), I feel it does not fit very well with the rest of the website, which tend to be a bit more sober. In my opinion sobriety tends to be more future-proof design wise. Especially, buttons look quite different.

But again, "there's no accounting for taste" 🤷

PS: https://angular.dev has similar gradients, sometimes on text, and sometimes actually degrading readability 😭

Different borders can help to highlight different section or content. The content itself can also be crucial. For example, the logos of the sponsors, where the border should be rather unobtrusive.
I agree with you about the buttons for documentation and tutorials, because they are indeed boring. 😄

To add some more info: the design of this page was initially discussed in issue #242 and implemented (after quite a few extra tweaks) in PR #260.

There was an iteration which replaced the gradient borders with a simple blue border for the blog page (the only place with the gradients at the time), but the original proposal was chosen instead
