Thoughts on bringing in programmatic tool calling in Deepagents

Claude introduced programmatic tool calling here. They claim that it can save much more token, but only their model can use this. I was wondering if we use Claude + deepagents how can we allow deepagent to use this kind of feature.

Isn’t this just a server-side tool? XAI models also have this “code_execution” https://docs.x.ai/developers/tools/code-execution . Or is this different?
