I am interested in using Langchain with Next.js

Questions:

Why use Langchain and not OpenAI instead? What would be additional/different from Langchain?

If I do an npm package for Langchain, do I need to do another npm for OpenAI as well?

What vector database storage should I use?

I am interested in feeding some personal information.... do I just write a long text file and feeding it to a document loader?

Can we please re-check this? I was under the idea that you could build a back-end using JavaScript with LangChain...

Looking at the docs there is a Python reference, as well as a JavaScript reference...
