boost:install fails trying to connect to mysql

Error after selecting the agents. It seems to be trying to connect to mysql through a local mysql binary

instead of the Laravel Sail Docker container that I'm using.

Steps To Reproduce

1 - composer require laravel/boost --dev
2 - php artisan boost:install
3 - Select code editors
4 - Select agents

Having the same issue with similar setup, db is through docker

It's having issues resolving the name of the MySQL hostname. Is boost running on your host, and the docker is within the container?

We have some work to do to make Boost work seamlessly with Docker, that's on my list 👌

For right now it might be helpful to update .env with an IP if possible rather than a hostname

I wasn't running the command inside the container.

Running sail php artisan boost:install solved the issue.

did you run your install commands through docker/sail? and do you use claude code in your terminal or through dockers terminal?

I did the sail php artisan boost:install command and its successful, but if I run claude I don't see the mcp server after running my /mcp command

@Skylercrane23 can you update the composer require laravel/boost --dev and try installation command once again ?

and if you are using sail follow this #95 (comment)

Make sure your DB connection is working if you are using database as the cache driver.

It seems to be fixed in the testing. but feel free to open if issue persists.
