Why do we have a $keyType in Eloquent while we always have to use at least $cast and $primaryKey if we want to make a string-based primary key? #34953

My guess is that it does implicit things like these two: public $incrementing = false;
protected $casts = [
'id' => 'string', // primary key
]; |
