Factory returns different foreign id

Hi All,

I'm quiet new on doing testing and currently using the new version of factory.
I have this strange behavior that my model is always attached to the first user I created.
Can someone explain why this behavior occurred?

I have setUp() configuration in my BaseTestCase that being extends by my TestCases:

public $user;

public function setUp(): void
{
	parent::setUp();

	$this->user = User::factory()->create();
}

and have this test scenario

public function test_can_create_category_with_parent(): void
{
	$attributes = $this->getAttributes();
	$user  = User::factory()->create();
	$anotherCategory = Category::factory()
		->for($user) // <-------
		->create();
	
	dd($anotherCategory->user_id, $user->id); // <------- This returns 1 and 2
	
	$this->actingAs($this->user)
	//....
}

Even though I attached $anotherCategory to $user, it still gets the id of $this->user;

CategoryFactory:

return [
	'name' => $this->faker->word,
	'description' => $this->faker->sentence	
];

I found the issue. I forgot that I assigned the id in observer during my testing and forgot to remove it. Face palm
