Dot notation for JSON translation files?

Does it make sense to support the dot notation as well for JSON translation files?

i.e. __("nav.login") will load from

{
    "nav": {
        "login": "Login",
    }
}

While it is subjective, I find that putting all translations into 1 JSON file makes it easier for collaboration. The person translating does not have to manage files and folders.
