Reader and writer endpoints in place of the host ip address

Hi,

I have a laravel system and wanted to use the Read & Write Connections. I just wanted to know if the place of IP address can we use the EndPoint URL shown below?

Before

'mysql' => [
    'read' => [
        'host' => [
            '192.168.1.1',
            '196.168.1.2',
        ],
    ],
    'write' => [
        'host' => [
            '196.168.1.3',
        ],
    ],
 ]   

After

'mysql' => [
    'read' => [
        'host' => [
            'XXXX-rds-main-read-replica.aws.com'
        ],
    ],
    'write' => [
        'host' => [
            'XXXX-rds-main-write-replica.aws.com'
        ],
    ],
 ]
