JTEC Bootstrap mode for flash and eeprom read/write

Howdy,
I'm looking to get this tool working in bootstrap mode to read/write flash and eeprom. I'm sure I am doing something wrong. Don't quite understand the process but just from playing around I cant get it to work.

Is there some documentation explaining the process? I will include some screen shots of what I try and error's I get:

Hello, thanks for the screenshots.
First of all, please update the scanner firmware to the latest version via the "Tools / Update" menu.

The returned part number is invalid, which I believe is confusing the scanner and preventing it from properly uploading the EEPROM reader.
Unfortunately, there's no documentation on this, but it should have worked the way you first tried:

1. Bootstrap first,
2. Press Read (EEPROM),
3. Save to file, done.

There's no need to upload workers manually, the scanner handles that automatically in the background.
Please try again after updating the scanner firmware.

I was able to get it after firmware update, Thank you.

It was very difficult to get unit into boot mode though. I had almost given up, last night after I went through about 30 tries, this morning about another 20 before it decided to enter boot. Is this normal?

It's definitely not normal to have to try 50 times, it should work on the first attempt.
I test every firmware update before release, and bootstrapping always works on the first try on my end.

From one of your screenshots, I can see that the issue is the PCM sending an invalid baud rate response (FE F0 instead of 06), which causes the scanner to block any further steps.

I recommend performing a factory reset on your scanner following these instructions:
