Tip

Please run cargo clippy and cargo fmt on your project.
There are a bunch of things (references which can be ommitted, strangely formatted code, ...), for which lints/cargo-fmt exist.

You are using tokio::spawn. Please read through the tokio docs carefully. tokio::spawn needs the things you move into it to be Send + Sync + 'static => you need to ensure that this is the case.
If you are a video-person, Jon has made a video decrusting tokio in which he explains in detail how this works and why this is the case.

Fixing your code:
Please clone the pool outside of the async move.
Alternatively, clone state outside before moving it via async move.

Bit of general feedback:

• The code has a few oddities such as swithing between the compiletimed-macro and regular api.
  I doubt that this is intentional.
• Your repo can just have a &PgPool. No need for that to be owned. In general: prefer to borrow rather than clone.
• you are mixing between tracing and println logging. That is likely a bug.
