Is this documentation correct on bulk inserts?

I am trying to insert multiple rows in one query and was following this: https://github.com/launchbadge/sqlx/blob/main/FAQ.md#how-can-i-bind-an-array-to-a-values-clause-how-can-i-do-bulk-inserts

The example code provided there doesnt work and I get syntax error:

expected 1 argument, found 2

I checked in the code that indeed it just takes a single argument.
This is what I am trying:

let mut records = vec![
    String::from("Hello"),
    String::from("World"),
    String::from("Rust"),
    String::from("Programming"),
    String::from("Language"),
];

sqlx::query(
            r#"
            INSERT INTO foo
            SELECT * FROM UNNEST($1::text[], 'First','Last','Vancouver','1990-06-06')
            "#,
            &records[..], // the error points here
        )
        .execute(pool)
        .await?;

The compile time checked macro API (sqlx::query!) does support binding like you are doing it.
The non-compile time checked API does not (as impossible). For that API, you will need to use the bind function instead.

You will need to make a choice between the two Apis depending on your use case.

Sorry, I am lost, following so many links where none of it seem to work.
Is there any working example that you can provide, with the bind function?

The QueryBuilder also works, shure.

Yeah, I agree. I should have been more specific. Of the few links, these are the ones that I have now:

2. I tried this one and then realized that it was 'planned' and not actually done: Support for INSERTing multiple records? #294 (comment)

I tried a few others from SO, which I dont have handy now.

How? Without specifics, imprving the docs is pretty hard.

As noted above, the example there uses sqlx::query!() (i.e. the macro api), not sqlx::query().

The syntax shugar bind_array might not exist, but binding PGArrays or FromRow-slices should be possible as far as I read said post.

For me the PGArray didn't work. But I am pretty confident that its due to my first time encounter with rust and lack of knowledge.

I was able to get it done through QueryBuilder though.
