What does clear-screen do?

I started the development server with:

pnpm react-server ./App.jsx --clear-screen

It doesn't clear in own screen 🤔

This was working before but possibly broken with a CLI change or a Vite version change. A fix has already been merged in and soon it will be available in the latest version from npm. The command above is correct and should clear the screen.

clear the screen means various meanings for me. The following actions can be imagined from the clear.

• clear the logs on terminal console.
• disappear any apps on my screen.

This is doing the same as in Vite roughly specified at https://vite.dev/guide/cli.html and https://vite.dev/config/shared-options.html#clearscreen. It only affects how the development server starts in the terminal. When using --clear-screen it removes previous rows in the terminal.

I've tried vite with clearScreen configuration. I understand this behavior, but I can't clear the screen in react-server with pnpm v10.5.2.
