Logs out and back to login page

Trying to replace a non-Win11 compatible laptop. Have an HVAC system that is Java based. Running Firefox 24 and Java 6 R 22 on the current setup to access the HVAC. Tried the same setup on a new Win11 laptop, but getting nowhere. Claims the necessary plugin isn't installed. While Googling I came across Cheerpj. Installed the latest Chrome and Cheerjp and I was suddenly able to get a login screen (the applet was working). However I log in with the credentials, it starts loading the controls for the HVAC and then Cheerpj seems to load again (?) and it logs me out of the HVAC system and back to the java based login screen. Tried the same in Edge. Same thing happens.

Is this something common or that has been seen a million times that someone knows the secret handshake to make this work properly?

Hello, we have not heard about issue like that. We will need a bit more information to help you debug the issue.

Could you please provide us with the browser console log and the HAR file when using the Applet with the CheerpJ extension? You can find instructions on how to save these files in our documentation; console log & HAR file. Please make sure to open the developer tools before navigating to the login screen.

Hello, it seems the HAR file was incomplete. Please make sure the developer tools stay open all the time and that they open before navigating to the Applet for the first time.

@rbond1973 Thanks for sharing the HAR, it is now correct, but it does provide enough information for us to debug the problem.

To understand what's going on we need to see the incorrect logout you mentioned in the logs. Please record a HAR file that shows the whole process, including the login attempt and the incorrect logout.

Hi ... unfortunately I go through the entire process ... bring up the page, the applet loads and shows me a login for the HVAC system (device in question), log in successfully and see the different zones ... it appears as though it's doing what it's supposed to, but then the screen refreshes, we get the cheerpj splash screen and brought automatically back to the login page for the HVAC system and it just keeps that cycle going. The allow the entire process to cycle through and then I grab the HAR file. Thus I'm not sure what I can do to get any more information. I may need to try just running an old version of Java again ... which is what we've been doing, but I need to replace a Win10 laptop with a Win11 and I couldn't get Java 6 R 22 running properly to access the HVAC and stumbled upon cheerpj while searching for a resolution. To get more information you need to preserve the networking log across reloads. You can do so by ticking the "Preserve log" checkbox in the network tab.
