Connect dialog sometimes appears unexpectedly when extending cycles

I've found that sometimes when selecting "Extend cycles", the "Connect wallet" reappears unexpectedly instead of triggering the wallet popup, and the wallet popup appears only if I select the wallet again from the list (while also redirecting the site to the installation page simultaneously).

If I try to close the "Connect wallet" dialog, then app refreshes with an error entirely.

@friedger any idea if the recent connect version bump could have caused this and why, given your familiarity with this part of the code base?
