Explain the website update workflow

It is not clear to me how to update the website, in particular, how this repo is kept in-sync with the main one. Please explain this in the README.

I’d like to add MathJax.js to the website (currently, all equations are broken). I suspect I have to

1. Change the URL to MathJax in the Doxygen config file in the main repo.
2. Synchronise that with this one.
3. Add MathJax.js to this repo.

Is this correct?

What do you mean by "keep in-sync"? The two repos are completely independent.

Everything which is in a *.md file or in one of the _include etc subfolders will be processed by Jekyll and transformed into nested HTML code. All other files are simply copied. So if you add a subfolder mathjax\MathJax.js this will simply be copied over to lensfun.github.io/mathjax/MathJax.js.

I saw that you have already updated the MATHJAX_RELPATH in the main repo config. After uploading MathJax to the URL as described above and rebuilding the docs it should work again.

The bad thing is that the already existing docs do not work anymore and it would be necessary to rebuild them... The actual problem here is that browsers refuse to load active content from non-https sites if the main site is https. The GitHub page is https by default, the MathJax is referenced as a non-https link to SourceForge. Not sure if we can find a work-around...

This is the error I see in the Firefox web console:

  Blocked loading mixed active content “http://lensfun.sourceforge.net/mathjax/MathJax.js”

EDIT: I will update the website README later. You are right, it is not really helpful as it is outdated and only refers to the local build process as it was used for SourceForge.
