I see there's been some discussion about using web sockets here: #70. I'm just wondering if webrtc has ever been considered given that it uses UDP so would maintain similar latency as the current implementation? It would be nice to be able to connect a single page app directly into Ableton and not have to worry about running a node.js server.

Actually there might be other better alternatives such as WebTransport https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/WebTransport

Although the fact it has to be https may make it too awkward https://socket.io/get-started/webtransport It's also only supported in a few browsers (may not be as much of an issue).
