Enhance README accessibility and add informative badges

Summary

The current README.md can be improved for accessibility and presentation by:

• Adding descriptive alt text to all images (for screen readers and SEO)
• Adding a few GitHub badges (license, stars, open issues, PRs welcome, etc.) for better project visibility

Proposed Changes

• Add alt text to any images or shields missing them in the README.
• Add badges such as:
  • License badge
  • GitHub Stars
  • Open Issues count
  • PRs Welcome
• Keep badge style consistent (flat-square).
• Add a short comment section explaining why these badges are useful.

Why this helps

• Improves accessibility (especially for screen readers)
• Makes the repo look more professional and informative at a glance
• Encourages contributions
