Disliked tracks are not being skipped [Free account with expired audio rights]

As far as I know the original DI.FM player skips all disliked tracks. And this is a feature that I heavily utilized and it was the first thing I noticed not working in the extension.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but it would be nice to have an option to skip disliked tracks.

I agree the described behavior should not happen, but I totally fail to seen how the script could be the reason why at the moment.
This will need deep investigation and may take a while. Please keep me informed if it resolves by itself in the meantime.

I forgot to ask, do you use a free account or premium account ? and what was the context (channel,/show/playlist) ?

The account was premium before, but I started using the userscript a few days after the subscription ended.

As for the context, I think it was the Ambient channel. And I still notice disliked tracks playing sometimes. Also, disliked tracks can appear when I use the skip button.

I think this is a side effect of using a free account with expired audio rights.

Workaround

if you get this message when loading the page and using the script while logged in with your account, you should create a new one and use the export/import of likes and dislikes to transfer over your new account. If you always use the script, free audio rights should not expire with the new account.

Oh, I do see that notification. I didn't think it was related, because overall the player worked fine. I'll try making a new account, thanks.

Also, not sure if there is a definitive list of features that will not work with free rights expired, but I guess it would be nice to have them mentioned in the notification or just any other summary, to let the user know why it is recommend to create a new account.

I would for sure had created an new account if I saw that something would be missing. But I tried, it seemed to work, so I just passed on that.

There is no list so far because you uncovered the first one ! I'll think of refining the message in a future release.

The script is doing a great job at making audio work as seamlessly as possible at any given time and under any situation, but in the end, using a free account with expired audio rights is bound to unravel some unhandled situation (such as disliked tracks playing) because it is a side effect of the solution engineered to make it play audio anyway. So, unfixable issue. I anticipated there would be a few of those and this is why the Export/import features exists.
