JJ-VCS workspace support

I'm using gitsigns and its awesome!
I've recently got to know JJ VCS and it's awesome as well - highly recommend everyone to check it out.
Basically, the two even work together since JJ VCS is compatible with Git.

However, when it comes to Git Worktree JJ doesn't support it and has an similar feature Workspace which is probably better.
That's when issues start - Workspace is not as compatible with the git repo while using it. So GitSigns stops working.

I'd like to try and get GitSigns, at least start with basic functionality to work with JJ workspace.
I'm using mostly the signs features and the Hunk actions, so that's where I want to start from.

I thought about two approaches:

1. Build a wrapper around JJ Cli that use JJ API to simulate Git Cli responses for commands GitSign use (sounds too complex, but don't know how complex GitSigns usage of git cli is.
2. Modify Gitsigns to use JJ API when running in JJ Workspace.

Happy to hear what developers familiar with gitsigns think about feasibility of this in general and the two options above.

Or maybe there are other JJ users here who knows of an alternative way to use successfully gitsigns with JJ workspace.

This is something I miss when I use jujutsu workspaces too. FWIW, jujutsu colocated workspaces are under development, so hopefully that will fix the issue here. But it looks like it's still very far away from being done, and progressing rather slowly.
