关于GCC with the MCF的编译问题 #82

我编译MPV用的GCC一直是从你这个网站下载的：https://gcc-mcf.lhmouse.com/

经过测试20230323到20230419这几个包编译MPV相关组件时总有几个编译不成功，不知道是哪里的问题，特来请教。
20230307这版是可以成功编译的版本。

下面是用mingw-w64-gcc-mcf_20230419_13.0.1_x64-ucrt这个版本编译时的log，请帮我看下是哪里的问题。

You need to pass -masm=att to GCC.

非常感谢，按照您的方法可以成功编译了。发现用到att参数的还不少呢。lcms2 gmp libcaca libjxl libsdl2 libsoxr libwebp mbedtls rubberband, 还有ffmpeg。这些都需要加CFLAGS+=" -masm=att" CXXFLAGS+=" -masm=att"

话说，如果啥时候能把GCC with the MCF合并到msys2的官方包里就好啦，这样的话以后更新就方便多了。

AT&T 老狗们不识抬举，让我骂了 https://gcc.gnu.org/pipermail/gcc/2022-November/240103.html 。
短期内应该不会合进 MSYS2，主要是二进制不兼容，同时某些库仍然依赖明确 winpthreads （例 libgomp, libgccjit）。

微软的编译器 CL 编译出来的汇编并没有指定 RIP 相对定位，但是实际上生成的指令如果援引了符号，全部都是相对 RIP 定位的。相反地，GCC 生成的汇编全部都是显式地指定了 RIP 相对定位。

i686:

mov eax, dword ptr [0]     ; A1 imm32         绝对地址，32 位
mov eax, dword ptr [0]     ; 8B 05 imm32      绝对地址，32 位
mov eax, dword ptr [0]     ; 8B 04 25 imm32   绝对地址，32 位

x86_64:

mov eax, dword ptr [0]     ; A1 imm64         绝对地址，64 位
mov eax, dword ptr rip[0]  ; 8B 05 imm32      RIP 相对地址，32 位

但是，绝对地址是有用的，例如 mov eax, dword ptr gs:[0x48] 可以取到当前的 thread ID。

再问下编译这个gcc with mcf工具链能在linux下进行吗。如果能在linux下编译效率会更高吧。
我用windows-latest github actions因为种种限制无法编译成功。ubuntu-latest下应该能编译成功吧。
比如这个仓库：https://github.com/shinchiro/mpv-winbuild-cmake 他用的gcc toolchain就是直接用actions / runner-images在ubuntu-latest上编译的，耗时大概半个小时就能编译完成。

mcfgthread 是可以编译的。gcc 理论上也可以交叉编译，但是没试过。

This works for me. In order to run tests you need wine.

我初步打算，如果可行的话，在linux下制作交叉工具链（启用mcfghthread线程），然后用这个交叉工具链在linux runner上编译mpv。不过因为编译方面知识的欠缺需要您提供一些建议。比如编译的时候还需要打哪些补丁呢。以及编译mingw-crt mingw-header mingw-pthread binutils等等的顺序。

但是我并没在 linux 上编译过 GCC。Ubuntu 有自己带的 mingw-w64 GCC 所以其它的倒是编译过不少。

如果有开箱即用的编译器的话，能省不少事，大概是这个顺序，每个都要编译、安装才能开始编译下一个：

mingw-w64 headers
winpthreads & mcfgthread
mingw-w64 CRT
GCC

如果没有现成的交叉编译器的话要复杂一些：

mingw-w64 headers
GCC (compiler only, no libraries)
winpthreads & mcfgthread
mingw-w64 CRT
GCC (complete)

下面是尝试对shinchiro工具链的编译。过程中虽然没有报错，但最后有部分文件缺失（和shinchiro编译的结果对比）。没有 /lib/libcc1.la和/lib/libcc1.so.0.0.0这2个文件，没有/x86_64-w64-mingw32/include/c++这个目录。我在他仓库问了，暂时还没得到结果。

你的 gcc 的 configure 参数里没有 --host。
另外，如果指定了 --host 必须指定 --build，否则 configure 会自己猜一个，如果机器上有 wine 的 binfmt 会导致这种情况被当成本机编译。
对于 linux 通常为 --build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu。

--build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu --host=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu --target=x86_64-w64-mingw32

--host 是你编译的程序要在什么玩意上运行。如果你想编译从 windows 到 windows 的本机编译器，需要先有个从 linux 到 windows 的交叉编译器。

你搞错了， gcc-multilib 是给你在 x86_64 上编译 x86 和 x32 用的。

x86_64-w64-mingw32-gcc 这个名字的意思是它的 target 是 x86_64-w64-mingw32.

编译器也是程序，和比如什么浏览器之类的一样。假如你在编译一个浏览器，你正在使用的编译器的 host 就是浏览器的 --build，你正在使用的编译器的 target 就是浏览器的 --host。

所以对于交叉编译的话，问题就是你在编译一个在哪用的编译器。如果你在编译 linux 到 windows 的交叉编译器，那么 --host 就是 linux、--target 是 windows；如果你在编译 windows 上的本机编译器，那么 --host 和 --target 都是 windows。在两种情况下 --build 始终是 linux。

如果你没有 x86_64-w64-mingw32-gcc 这个编译器，是没有办法编译出 --host 是 windows 的任何程序的。

编译完crt和winpthreads后，需要再cd到gcc的build目录重新运行一次make和make install就行了。

1.我想链接到ucrt，编译脚本里应该做哪些设置呢？因为我编译mpv一直用的是您的ucrt版本。

但是从实现上讲，从 main() 返回会调用 exit()，然后首先处理掉 atexit() 注册的回调函数（该过程包含 static 对象的析构函数），再调用 NtTerminateProcess() 终止当前进程，而 TLS callback （该过程包含 thread_local 对象的析构函数）是这个 NtTerminateProcess() 在内核态的回调，导致 thread_local 在 static 之后析构。该行为是违反标准的：

在 headers 和 crt 的 configure 参数里加上 --with-default-msvcrt=ucrt

加了之后出现编译错误，configure: error: Pthreads are required to build libatomic。

发现问题所在了。编译cross gcc相关组件headers和crt时要加上--with-default-msvcrt=ucrt，然后再编译target gcc相关组件headers和crt时也加上--with-default-msvcrt=ucrt才不会出错。

GCC 并没有这个参数。那个链接库都叫 @libmsvcrt.a@，即使是 UCRT。

1.需要用到cmake的项目会出现：

需要设置下面的变量：

    -DCMAKE_MAKE_PROGRAM=/d/msys64/mingw64/bin/mingw32-make.exe \

    -DCMAKE_C_COMPILER=/d/ucrt64/bin/gcc.exe \

但用你的toolchain时就无需加入这些变量的设置就可以，这是为啥呢？

你需要使用第一步编译好的 GCC 编译 CRT 安装之后才能再开始全量编译 GCC。

我觉得还有一种可能是编译pthreads需要hack一下。所以用没有hacked过pthreads工具链在编译必须要用pthread线程的项目时就会出错。因为我看你的工具链编译脚本里在编译headers时有些额外的操作，比如这句touch include/windows.*.h include/wincrypt.h include/prsht.h, 还有删除pthread_signal.h pthread_time.h pthread_unistd.h的操作。

还有在你的脚本里我没有看到编译pthreads的步骤。只有在安装gcc-libs时把libwinpthread-1.dll复制到/bin文件夹的操作。

我的第2个target-gcc脚本里面就是用的第1步cross-gcc脚本编译出来的GCC编译的CRT，然后再全量编译GCC的。

@lhmouse @nyfair 终于成功编译Windows版gcc with mcf线程啦。。。最重要的一点就是第一步交叉编译器也必须是带mcf线程的，然后用第一步带mcf线程的交叉编译器去编译Windows版的gcc with mcf才能成功。我把编译脚本分享出来。

综合考虑，还是用archlinux的docker比较好。原因有二：

ubuntu上安装工具包耗时比较长，大概3到4分钟。archlinux上的pacman安装效率比较高，一般1分钟左右可以装完。
因为cross-gcc-mcf本身就是在archlinux的docker编译的，所以还在archlinux的docker上运行会比较稳妥。尝试在ubuntu上运行，编译软件时会报错，信息如下：

找到原因了。因为在/etc/makepkg.conf定义了LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1,--sort-common,--as-needed,-z,relro,-z,now"。-z参数只能在linux下使用。设置成LDFLAGS=''可以就可以正确识别出编译器啦~

简单把/etc/makepkg.conf里的CFLAGS CPPFLAGS LDFLAGS改成自己编译的库路径就可以啦~
目前看来这样操作下来没啥问题，不知有啥需要改进的，可以帮忙看看。

不熟 ABS ，但是 /etc/ 里的东西除了包管理器配置外照例应该不是能随便动的（makepkg 不依赖 root ），得覆盖 PKGBUILD 里的内容。
