To all of the ha-dyson users, I want to extend my heartfelt apologies for the damage done to this integration with the release of 1.6.0. Please know that I had only the best intentions of improving the discovery mechanism from the cloud API after discovering how much useful information for doing so we were leaving on the table, and in doing so, inadvertently broke discovery of most models.
I was very new to this working group at the time, and did not fully understand the overall flow or history well enough to have made those changes, and for that, I am very sorry.
Being new to the working group, I did not feel comfortable reverting the releases myself and was waiting for an existing maintainer to do so. However, after three months without hearing from any of them, today I removed releases 1.6.0 and 1.7.0 from GitHub, with the full understanding that doing so may get my maintainer privileges revoked.
So, to the entire libdyson-wg group, once again, I am very sorry for the trouble I have caused you since August. I am grateful for the number of people willing to assist each other and repost the workaround to revert back to the prior version. That should no longer be necessary.
