Dyson Hot + Cool Formaldehyde (ECG2PF.34.03.000.0020) — Random Disconnect / Connection Timeout Error #311

Description:
My Dyson Hot + Cool Formaldehyde (software version ECG2PF.34.03.000.0020) started randomly disconnecting from Home Assistant about two weeks ago. It had been working reliably prior to that, and no changes were made to my network or Home Assistant configuration before the issue began.

Currently, the device does not stay connected, and I consistently receive a DysonConnectTimeout() error in the logs. As a result, the heat function is turning off unexpectedly—making this a bit rough in my basement during the winter.

Environment:

Home Assistant: latest stable release (please confirm if needed)

Hardware: Dell Optiplex on metal HASS system (no OS, just HASS on the PC)

Device: Dyson Hot + Cool Formaldehyde (model type 527)

Network: stable home Wi-Fi (static IP assigned to Dyson unit)

Troubleshooting steps taken:

Restarted and rebooted Home Assistant multiple times.

Power-cycled the Dyson unit (unplugged/replugged).

Disconnected the Dyson from Wi-Fi and reconnected it.

Deleted and reinstalled the Dyson Local integration.

Performed additional restarts of both the Dyson device and Home Assistant between steps.

Unfortunately, none of these actions resolved the issue.
