[Feature request - Demande de fonctionnalité] Support for Wero (the new European instant payment standard)

I am the founder and maintainer of https://linuxvillage.org/, a project dedicated to supporting GNU/Linux distributions users. I would like to suggest adding Wero as a possible payment method on Liberapay.

This new solution is progressively replacing Paylib in France and is becoming the new European standard for instant transfers. I believe it would make sense for the free software community to have the possibility to rely on a banking system that respects the GDPR and is not submitted to the Cloud Act.

Wero is a 100% European initiative from the EPI (European Payment Initiative). Although its current model is mainly suited for direct transfers and one-time payments, its integration would significantly improve our financial independence by reducing our reliance on US-based banking systems.
It currently allows for instant account-to-account transfers using just a phone number or an e-mail address. Being able to use Wero (or the EPI) for donations on Liberapay would be a real advantage.

Je crois que cela serait cohérent pour la communauté du logiciel libre de pouvoir s'appuyer sur un système bancaire respectueux du RGPD, et non soumis au Cloud Act.

Wero isn't ready to be used for crowdfunding through a platform like Liberapay. We'll add support for it when doing so becomes possible and worth the effort. As noted in #1356 (comment), Wero is currently in “Private preview” at Stripe.

We'll add support for it when doing so becomes possible and worth the effort. As noted in #1356 (comment), Wero is currently in “Private preview” at Stripe.

The idea around using Wero in Liberapay would be to benefit of the reputation of your platform, while using only European or just French payment banking systems. If Stripe would be in the middle, it would thwart the purpose.
