Updating issues

I'm having trouble updating this system. Whenever I try (and I've tried with multiple update phases), the error nix_2_18 has been removed pops up.

there doesn't seem to be a clear issue or broken package mentioned in any of the logs and there's not a lot to start off with. Have you had these issues before and do you know how to figure out which package or even file is causing the issue?
