No support for lossless, as per the pinned issue. Regular quality is subject to the ongoing issue at #1649. That issue is due to account specific restrictions recently enforced by Spotify. That issue exists in all librespot implementations. If you have a product/business you could consider partnering with Spotify properly ($$$). Especially if that product wants to support Spotify lossless quality. |

Understood. We’ll also explore possible angles on our side and sync with the community timely—hoping we can figure out a feasible solution together soon.

Not aware of anything we can do at our end. But that isn't to say someone industrious will find something. It's a community effort to keep this going.

Hi everyone,
I am currently conducting integration testing with librespot v0.8.0 for a hardware project. I’ve been following the ongoing community discussions regarding Spotify's "Lossless" transition, but I’ve encountered a more fundamental roadblock that I hope to clarify here.
The Issue: In our current test environment, we are unable to initiate playback for any tracks. It’s not just a lack of Lossless support; we are seeing a total failure to stream even standard-quality audio.
Our Goal: We want to determine if this is a local misconfiguration on our end or if there have been significant protocol changes from Spotify's side that have rendered the current Rust implementation non-functional for general playback.
Specifically, I would appreciate insights on:
Current Status: Is v0.8.0 still expected to support standard Ogg/Vorbis playback, or has the service been interrupted by recent backend changes?
Version Check: If v0.8.0 is deprecated or unstable for production-like environments, is there a specific branch or the Golang implementation that the community recommends switching to for better stability?
We rely on this incredible open-source foundation and want to ensure we are moving in the right technical direction rather than troubleshooting a version that may no longer be viable.
Any guidance from the maintainers or the community would be greatly appreciated!
