Option to set Casual as the default option for Quick Play

Hello,

I would like to propose an idea (and I’d be happy to help implement it): adding a setting that allows users to specify that all of their Quick Play games are casual.

Context

I enjoy playing casual games between meetings and would prefer these games not to affect my rating. However, if I play while logged out, I lose track of my games and stats.

Proposal

• Add an option to user preferences (perhaps under "Game Behavior") to choose either "Casual" or "Rated" as the default setting for Quick Play games.
• Once set, everything else behaves as usual, but Quick Play will, by default, create either casual or rated games based on the user’s selection.
• We may also consider adding some UX elements in Quick Play to clearly indicate whether games are set to casual or rated by default.

No, sorry. There's an infinite number of settings and UX elements that could be added, but a finite number we can actually add before the site becomes unusable.

Rated is the default mode because it's the superior one. It's the mode that guarantees fair pairings and a 50% win chance for everyone.

Because that's what rating is about. Fair pairings. It's not a treasure to protect. It's a tool to use.
