Description
What is the problem?
I installed lichess on my supernote a5x eink device. The v8 version works nicely there, but I wanted to go to the new version. It works well until I start a game. At that moment the screen does not refresh anymore, neither the clock updates every second nor do I see my moves or my opponents moves. I always have to trigger the manual screen refresh on the supernote to see what happens (but this is only meant to remove ghosting that is typical for eink screens). I have never seen this kind of behavior before with other apps I sideloaded.
Supernote A5x runs on a Android 8.1 variant, so this is admittedly very old, but as beyond this the new app works fine as far as I could tell, perhaps there is someway this can be addressed.
Steps to reproduce the bug
Precondition: you have a supernote a5x device with Android 8.1 (probably, not sure for which other devices this might also apply)
- start a new game (like 15 + 10)
Expected: clock ticks down every second and moves that I make or the opponent makes are shown on the screen
Actual: clock does not update and neither my moves nor opponent moves are shown (but I can make moves). Only when triggering manual deghosting refresh on the device are all moves + new clock time shown.
App version
v0.19.4
Device Info
Ratta Supernote A5X Android 8.1
